Doris LaNora Aldridge
Doris LaNora Aldridge, 83, of Beggs passed away at her home. She was born on March 27, 1921 in Beggs to James Ocal and Venita Pearl (Cochran) Goodman. Mrs. Aldridge was a homemaker most of her life. She worked at Douglas Air Craft, Sold Avon, worked at Vandevers and Tulsa Public Schools Board of Education. She was a member of the First Baptist church in Beggs. She enjoyed painting, cooking, gardening, traveling, arts and crafts and sewing. She Married Homer Dean Aldridge on June 22, 1941 in Beggs. He preceded her in death on April 18, 2004. Others that have preceded her in death are her Parents James O. and Venita P. Goodman, a brother Quentin Goodman, a sister Martha Koch, a sister Elizabeth Goodman and a grandson Phillip Burghard.
Survivors include three daughters Rita Joyce Rose and husband John of Greenfield, MA, Jo Dean Burghard and John of Fredericktown, Ohio, Sammye Lee Aldridge and Don Jernigan, a son Terry Randall Aldridge and wife Connie of Tulsa, OK Ten Grandchildren and sixteen great-grandchildren. A Sister Molly Hamilton of Muskogee and four brothers Kenneth Goodman, Lloyd Goodman both of Fort Worth, TX, Sam Goodman, of Tulsa and Jack Goodman of Haughton, LA.
Funeral Services will be 2:00 PM on Saturday, October 9, 2004 at the First Baptist Church in Beggs with Reverend Thom Chappell officiating. Interment will follow in the Beggs Cemetery under the Direction of the McClendon-Winters Funeral Home in Beggs, OK.
Viewing will be from 11:00 AM until 8:00 PM at the McClendon-
Winters Funeral Home in Beggs on Friday, October 8, 2004.
Casketbearers will be Eddie Haworth, Patrick Haworth, John Charles Rose, Brian Baxter, Joey Burghard, Eric Fowler, Daniel Aldridge and Doug Maynard.
