Arville L. Bell
Arville L. Bell died Friday evening, May 7, 2004 at his home in rural Okmulgee at the age of 89. He was born August 24, 1914 in Seminole Co. to George Samuel and Esther Viola (Frost) Bell. Arville served his country in the U.S. Army during World War II, involved in 5 of 6 invasions. He married Novella Stephens on December 4, 1941, who preceded him in death on January 13, 2001. They moved to Okmulgee in 1956 and Arville spent most of his life driving for Koch Industries. Survivors include four daughters, Arvella Winter of Sacramento, California, Beverly Clark of Forest City, Arkansas, Carmen Bell of Okmulgee, and Susan Doublehead of Grove, eight grandchildren and seventeen great grandchildren. Arville was preceded in death by his parents, wife, son, Homer Leon Bell, two brothers, Fred and Eugene Bell and two sisters, Julie Burcham and Nadine Butler. Graveside Military Rites will be held 10:00 A.M., Wednesday, May 12, 2004 at the Beggs Cemetery conducted by VFW Post 1189 of Okmulgee and VFW Post 539 of Henryetta. Viewing will be Tuesday from 9-8 at the McClendon-Winters Funeral Home of Beggs.
