Thomas Roger Campbell

Thomas Roger Campbell, 99, of Okmulgee died Sunday afternoon, May 30, 2004 at Okmulgee Memorial Hospital. He was born on May 21, 1905 in Boyers, PA to Thomas Jefferson and Winifred F. (Butler) Campbell. Mr. Campbell, while living in Okmulgee, met and married Celine Uranie Bantuell on July 13, 1930 in Henryetta, Oklahoma. He formed Campbell Specialty Company and enjoyed entertaining clients in the Campbell family home. He also enjoyed watching St. Louis Cardinals baseball games and listening to Harry Carey’s play by play.

 

Survivors include his three sons, Ronald Edward Campbell and his wife Patricia Cloon Campbell of Luther, Oklahoma, Richard Butler Campbell and his wife Jeneane Whinery Campbell, Glenn Allen Campbell and his wife Mary Lou Hood Campbell, a daughter Carolyn Ann Campbell Hacker and husband Stephen Arthur Hacker all of Okmulgee, five grandsons Clay Alan Campbell, Richard Curtis Campbell, David Brian Campbell, Aaron Ross Hacker and Mason Price Hacker; six granddaughters, Kathryn Ruth Campbell Terenzi, Lu Anne Campbell Butler, Ronelle Lynn Campbell Stover, MD, Clarissa Ann Campbell, Valerie Kathleen Campbell and Clarinda Elizabeth Reichman; three great-grandsons, Jonathan Richard Campbell, Kyle Ashby Campbell, Thomas Campbell; three great-granddaughters Natalie Jeneane Terenzi, Jenifer Campbell and Kylie Morgan Campbell; two nephews, John Louis Campbell, and Michael Lewis Bantuelle; one niece, Patricia Ann Bantuelle Ewald; Three cousins Lucienne Ingenbleek, Anita Ann Bantuelle Stedran and Fred Bantuelle and a sister and a sister in law Fern Leathers Bantuelle.

He was preceded in death by his wife, Celine Campbell, his parents, and a grandson, Keith Barry Campbell, two sisters Twyla Campbell, Violet Judge and two brothers Charles and Wylie Campbell.

Graveside Services will be 10:00 am on Thursday, June 3, 2004 at the Okmulgee Cemetery with Mr. Glenn Campbell officiating. Interment is under the direction of the McClendon-Winters Funeral Home in Okmulgee.

Viewing will be from 1:00 PM until 8:00 PM on Wednesday, June 2, 2004 with family members receiving visitors from 6:00 PM until 8:00 PM.

The family asks that Memorial Contributions be made to the Salvation Army in Mr. Campbell’s name.
