Howard Lee Carder
Howard Lee Carder, 64, of Okmulgee died at his home in Okmulgee on April 24, 2004. He was born December 9, 1939 in Henryetta to John and Velma (Dockrey) Carder. Mr. Carder was a veteran of the United States Army and a member of the Veterans of Foreign Wars and American Legion. He enjoyed fishing and working in his garden.
Survivors include two sons Howard Carder Jr. of Henryetta, Ronald Carder of Okmulgee, six daughters Mary Pinkston, Brenda Rice both of Henryetta, Linda Carder of Arizona, Sara Bowling of Texas, Teresa Cogburn of Texas and Loretta Montgomery of Arkansas, two brothers Wayne Carder and Jimmie Carder, one sister Georgie Atwell, sixteen grandchildren and one great grandchild.
Those that preceded Mr. Carder in death are his Parents John and Velma Carder, a son Howard Carder, a daughter Katherine Carder, three brothers J.B. Carder, Cecil Carder and Quincy Carder along with two sisters Bee Hunter and Ruth Webb.
Funeral Services will be 11:00 am Thursday, April 29, 2004 at the McClendon-Winters Funeral Home in Okmulgee with Reverend Jackie Vance officiating. Interment will follow in the Wilson Salt Creek Cemetery in Wilson under the direction of the McClendon-Winters Funeral Home in Okmulgee.
