Orville L. "Buck" Garner

The Lord called Orville L. "Buck" Garner home June 14th, 2004 at 5:42 pm at the Bixby Manor. He was born in Pawnee on February 25th, 1915 to James Henry and Lela Elizabeth (Haga) Garner. He married Anita Ganus on March 27, 1994 at Southwood Baptist Church in Tulsa. He was a retired aircraft mechanic for Boeing and was a member of the Second Baptist Church. Up until his health began to fail he was a member of the AARP, BALL group and Joy Group of the Second Baptist Church. He was preceded in death by his parents, and eight brothers and sisters. Survivors include his wife, Anita Garner, of the home, two children in Washington State, three step children, and many grandchildren and great grandchildren as well as a host of nieces, nephews and friends and three adopted children. He was a joy to all of his family and friends and a friend to everyone-a giving caring child of God.

A graveside service will be held 10:00 A.M. Thursday, June 17, 2004 at the Okmulgee Cemetery with Reverend Jeff Vernon officiating. In the case of inclement weather, services will be held at the funeral home chapel. Viewing will be Wednesday from 12-8 PM at the McClendon-Winters Funeral Home of Okmulgee.
