Freddie Oliver (Fred) Goss

Freddie Oliver (Fred) Goss, 83, a lifelong resident of Okmulgee died Monday, November 1, 2004. He was born March 30, 1921 and was the son of William (Bill) Goss and Connie Kurtie (Reed) Goss. He was united in marriage to Zelma Mae Womble Goss in 1940 at Sapulpa, OK. He was retired from the American Saint Gobain Glass Company, owned his won metal detection business and tree service business.

Preceding him in death was his parents; wife, Zelma; infant daughter, Brenda Cathleen, two brothers Elmer Goss and Clifford Goss; and two sisters, Faye Henry Goss and Mamie Trendleman Goss; Mother-in-law and father in law John and Bessie Womble; three sisters-in-law and four brothers-in-law.

Surviving Mr. Goss are his one son and daughter-in-law, John W. Goss and wife Jennifer of Okmulgee, four sisters-in-laws and brother-in-laws, Sue Harvey of Sapulpa, Paul and Melinda Madden of Texas, Annabelle Morgan and Macel and Buzz Cunningham both of Okmulgee; five grandchildren, eleven great-grandchildren and several nieces and nephews and many friends.

Graveside services will be at 2:00 PM, Friday, November 5, 2004 at the Okmulgee Cemetery with Mrs. Mary Alice Walker Officiating, under the direction of the McClendon-Winters Funeral Home in Okmulgee. The family request that those attending the service meet at the McClendon-Winters Funeral Home at 1:30 PM

Viewing will be Thursday from 1:00 PM until 8:00 PM at the McClendon-Winters Funeral Home in Okmulgee.
