John Marvin Grandfield

John Marvin Grandfield, 66, a longtime resident of Okmulgee, Oklahoma, died September 1, 2004. He as born July 15, 1938 in Pumpkin Center, OK to Hazel Marie (Baird) and Woodrow William Grandfield. John graduated from Okmulgee High School and furthered his education at OSU Tech, studying architecture. He served in the U.S. Army and toured Germany, where he met his future wife, Inge Wolf. After coming back to the states in 1960, they were married December 17, 1961. John worked for Phillips Refinery in Okmulgee and also the Sun Oil Refinery in Tulsa for 15 years, until his retirement. He then started his own business, Integrated Planning Systems in the early 90s until his retirement in 2002. His parents, daughter, Andrea Marie, and a brother Gerald preceded him in death.

Survivors include his wife of 42 years,, Inge Grandfield of the home, a daughter Angela Dawn McDowell and son in law Sean, grandson Eric Hagen; daughter Monika Maried Kekahbah and son in law Charles, grandson Braden Lucas; Aunt Lorraine Baird; and a host of cousins, family and friends.

A Memorial Service will be on Saturday, September 4, 2004 at 3 pm at the McClendon-Winters Funeral Chapel, with Rev. Thomas Thorne, cousin , officiating.
