Jimmy Chotkey Harjo

Jimmy Chotkey Harjo 64, a resident of Tulsa, died in Tulsa on Thursday, August 5, 2004. He was born in Henryetta to Freeman and Nancy (Harjo) Harjo on August 9, 1939. Mr. Harjo was a wielder for the CRC Evans Company. His parents and two brothers Freeman Harjo Jr. and Mitchell Harjo preceded him in death.

Survivors include his wife Stella Margaret Harjo of the home, a son Kelly Newman Harjo of Albuquerque, N.M., a daughter Kimberly K. Harjo of Ocean View, Delaware, one brother Frank Harjo, Muskogee, one sister Rachel Kingfisher, Bixby, four grandchildren, and other relatives and friends.

Wake services will be on Sunday, August 8, 2004 at 7 pm at the McClendon-Winters Funeral Home Chapel in Okmulgee. Funeral services will be on Monday at 2 pm at the Honey Creek Indian Church and burial will follow at the Salt Creek Cemetery. Visitation will be on Sunday 1-8 pm at the funeral home.

Pallbearers will be Rick Manley, David Terrell, John Christman, Larry Spencer, Pete Kingfisher and Ryan Harjo.
