Claude DeLance Kissee

Claude DeLance Kissee, 77, of Beggs passed away at his home on Monday, November 3, 2003. He was born April 10, 1926 in Liberty Mounds to Charles Claude and Ethel Emma (Grimes) Kissee. Mr. Kissee worked as a welder for Word Industries for many years and was a member of the plumbers and pipe fitters union local 205. He was elected County commissioner for a four-year term and served in the United States Navy during World War II. Mr. Kissee was a member of the first Baptist Church in Beggs and also the American Legion, he loved to fish and work in his garden.

Survivors include a daughter Linda and her husband Gary Crenshaw of Okmulgee, two sons Dale and his wife Pam Kissee of Chugiak, Alaska, Dan and his wife Debbie Kissee of Beggs, OK eight grandchildren; Jimmy Crenshaw, Zachary Kissee, Justin Kissee, Jennifer Kissee, Lydia Kissee, Tonya Yingling, Natasha Martin and Brittany Kissee, two great grandchildren Garrett Crenshaw and Dawson Ball.

Those that preceded Mr. Kissee in death are his parents Charles and Ethel Kissee, his wife Sue Ellen (Mackey) Kissee and a sister Wilma Anderson.

Funeral Services will be 10:00 am on Wednesday, November 5, 2003 at the First Baptist Church in Beggs. Interment will follow in the Beggs Cemetery under the direction of the McClendon-Winters Funeral Home in Beggs.

Visitation will be on Tuesday, November 04, 2003 at the McClendon-Winters Funeral Home in Beggs from 1:00 pm until 8:00 pm.

Casketbearers will be Gordon Anderson, Billy Paul Anderson, Richard Titsworth, Bill Cheret, Dale Kiddy and Ray Mills.
