Marcel P. LeGrand

Marcel P. LeGrand, 80, of Okmulgee passed away in at his home. He was born September 28, 1923 in Shreveport, LA to Marcel "Sally" LeGrand and Stella (Potter) LeGrand. Mr. LeGrand worked as a maintenance man at a local glass plant for many years; he was a World War II Veteran in the Army Air Force as a Staff Sergeant. He was a Life Member of Veterans of Foreign Wars, Disabled American Veterans, and American Legion and was the founding member of Okmulgee Boat and Ski Club. Marcel love to go boating and fishing.

His parents and two brothers Charles "Billy" LeGrand and Jimmy LeGrand preceded him in death.

Survivors include his wife Pearl J. (Pearce) LeGrand of the Home, a son Marcel J. LeGrand and George E. LeGrand both of Okmulgee, a daughter Annie Estep of Sapulpa, a son Pierre A. LeGrand of Okmulgee, a daughter Cathy J. LeGrand of Okmulgee, son Larry D. Lane of Broken Arrow and Daughter Leslie "Susie" Carr also of Broken Arrow, twenty grandchildren and eighteen great-grandchildren three sisters Adlove Morgan of San Jose, CA, Isaberry Stahl of Little Rock, AR and Theresa Howell of Muskogee Numerous nieces and nephews and many friends also survive.

Funeral Services will be on Monday, November 10, 2003 at 10:00 am at the Crosstown Pentecostal Holiness Church in Okmulgee with Reverend Willis Baldridge officiating and Reverend George E. LeGrand Assisting.

Interment will follow in the Okmulgee Cemetery with Disabled American Veterans Post 85 will perform Military Honors. Burial is under the direction of the McClendon-Winters Funeral Home in Okmulgee.

Visitation will be on Sunday from 1:00 pm until 8:00 pm at the Funeral Home Chapel.

Casketbearers will be grandsons Bill LeGrand, Mike LeGrand, Matt LeGrand, Johnny Newport Jr., Brandon LeGrand, and Bobby Estep.
