Juanita Rose Lucas
Juanita Rose Lucas, 93, of Okmulgee passed away on Wednesday, August 18, 2004 at a local Nursing Center. She was born November 15, 1910 in Clarksville, AR to Edward and Vivian (Burt) Presser. Mrs. Lucas worked as a Beautician, but, was also a talented artist that painted and sculpted Indian and Religious artwork. She was a member of the Legion of Mary and Saint Anthony’s Catholic Church.
Survivors include her daughter Mary Louise Grimm and her husband John of McAlester, OK, three grandchildren and two great-grandchildren, one sister Kathleen Albig, two brothers Bill Presser, Harold Presser and his wife Betty, a sister-in-law Rosemary Presser all of Okmulgee, two brothers Robert Presser and his wife Harrah and Joe Presser and his wife Leona both of Texas.
Mrs. Lucas was preceded in death by her parents Edward and Vivian Presser and four brothers Gayle Presser, Paul Presser, Eddie Presser and Burt Presser.
There will be a Rosary given at 7:00 PM at the McClendon-Winters Funeral Home Chapel on Friday, August 20, 2004.
The Mass of Christian Burial will be on Saturday, August 21, 2004 at the St. Anthony Catholic Church with Reverend Benjamin Vima officiating. Interment will follow in the Okmulgee Cemetery under the direction of the McClendon-Winters Funeral Home in Okmulgee.
Viewing will be on Friday, August 20, 2004 at the McClendon-Winters Funeral Home from 9:00 am until 7:00 PM in the Chapel.
The Family has asked that in lieu of flowers please send memorial Contributions to the Red Cross to be Ear Marked for Hurricane Charley.
