Florence E. Morton went home to be with the Lord she loved on Sunday, June 13, 2004 at the age of 86 at St. John Medical Center in Tulsa. She was born on October 19, 1918 in Tyler, Texas to Thomas and Hazel Elias. She was a member of the First Assembly of God Church for 25 years, where she served in many capacities. Service to the Lord and her family was her life’s purpose. She was preceded in death by her husband, Wilford E. Morton.

She is survived by two daughters, Loyce Ledbetter and husband Earnest of Morris and Barbara Ehrman of Okmulgee, a son, Daniel Walker of Okmulgee, five grandchildren, thirteen great grandchildren and one great great grandchild.

A funeral service will be held 2:00 P.M. Wednesday, June 16, 2004 at the First Assembly of God Church with Reverend Jeff Connett and Raymond Doke officiating. Interment will follow in the Okmulgee Cemetery. Casketbearers will be Willis Paul Brewer, Mark Ledbetter, Matt Ledbetter, Bill Perkins, Steve Hankins, Zach Ledbetter, Chester Gulley and Loyal Wells. Viewing will be Tuesday from 12-8 at the funeral home. Arrangements are under the direction of the McClendon-Winters Funeral Home of Okmulgee.
