Margie Ann Sims Patterson

Margie Ann Sims Patterson 77, a resident of Beggs died in Beggs on Monday, January 17, 2005. Mrs. Patterson was born on April 26, 1927 in Paris, Arkansas to Alva and Minnie (Keith) Lovelace. She moved from Arkansas to Tulsa in 1953 and has been a Beggs resident for six years. She enjoyed quilting, sewing and fishing. She worked for many years as a seamstress for Bryant’s Infants Wear Company. Her parents, her husband L.J. Sims, and a son, Darrell Wayne Sims, three brothers; Thurman Ray Lovelace, William Carl Lovelace and Stonie Lovelace preceded her in death. She was a member of the Oak Grove Church.

Survivors include a son; David Wayne Sims and wife Carol of McLoud, Oklahoma, a daughter; Barbara Ann Parsons and husband Raymond of Beggs, Oklahoma one brother; Billy Don Lovelace of Verdigris, Oklahoma, two sisters; Rose Marie Pfeiffer of Paris, Arkansas and Zelda Gilbreath of Ratcliff, Arkansas and four grandchildren and eight great grandchildren.

Funeral services will be Thursday, January 20, 2005 at 11 am at the Oak Grove Church west of Beggs with Rev. Leon Barnhart officiating.

Burial will be in Memorial Park Cemetery in Tulsa at 2:30 pm. Visitation will be on Wednesday at the McClendon-Winters Funeral Home in Beggs from 1 until 8 pm.
