Thomas Alford Rogers

Thomas Alford Rogers 61, former resident of Okmulgee, died in Tulsa on Monday, November 15, 2004. Mr. Rogers was a resident of Enchanted Forest near Lake Eufaula. He was born November 13, 1943 in Wichita Falls, Texas to Charlie Alfonso and Johnie Lee (McIntire) Rogers. Thomas was a graduate of Okmulgee High School, a veteran of the U.S. Navy and was discharged in 1966. He then went to work for ASG Industries and later for Rockwell International and then Boeing Aircraft, where he was employed until his death. He was a member of the UAW Local 952 and a 32nd. Degree Mason. A son Jimmie Joel Rogers preceded him in death in November of 1967.

Survivors include his wife Carol Rogers of Okmulgee, a daughter Christi Rogers of Okmulgee, his parents, three brothers; Charles Lee Rogers and John Allen Rogers both of Okmulgee, and Roy Lynn Rogers of Henryetta, one sister Ellen Marie McDonald of Nocona, TX, one half sister, Lee Ann McIntire of Arkansas two grandchildren and numerous other relatives.

Funeral services will be on Friday, November 19, 2004 at 2 pm at the McClendon-Winters Chapel. Rev. Lawrence Matlock will officiate. Burial will be in the Okmulgee Cemetery. Visitation will be 12-8 pm on Thursday at the McClendon-Winters Funeral Home in Okmulgee.
