Wilma Jean Van Eron

Wilma Jean Van Eron, longtime Beggs resident, died Friday, December 24, 2004 at Tulsa Regional Medical Center at the age of 58. She was born October 17, 1946 in Henryetta to Melvin M. and Hazel G. (Taylor) Kight. She graduated from Northeastern State University at Tahlequah and taught English and German in Beggs for 20 years. She married Kenneth Van Eron in 1974. She was preceded in death by her father and her husband, Kenneth on March 16, 1986. Survivors include her mother, Hazel Kight, of Sperry, daughter, Kathy Van Eron of Beggs, son, John Van Eron of Tulsa, step-daughter, Kris Taylor of Alabama, sister, Sue Rogers of Tulsa, brother, Paul Kight of Toronto, Canada, two grandchildren and two step-grandchildren. A funeral service will be held 10:00 A.M. Tuesday, December 28, 2004 at the First Baptist Church in Beggs with Reverend Thom Chappelle officiating. Interment will follow in the Beggs Cemetery. Casketbearers will be Ron Padgett, Gary Jackson, Doyle Patterson, Adam Hamilton, Pete Ross and Mitch Freman. Memorial contributions may be made to Grace Hospice or the Children’s Service of Tulsa. Arrangements are under the direction of the McClendon-Winters Funeral Home of Beggs.
