Gordon Gerome "Chip" Williamson
Gordon Gerome "Chip" Williamson, 33, of Okmulgee, died Sunday morning, May 9, 2004 near Preston. He was born December 29, 1970 in Tahlequah to Richard and Wanda (Lowe) Williamson. Chip grew up in Hanna and was a floor clerk at Creek Nation Okmulgee Casino for 9 years, where he had received the Employee of the Year Award in 2003. He was preceded in death by his grandparents, Mandy and Tommy Lowe and an uncle, Eddie Lowe. Survivors include his parents, Richard Williamson of Wetumka and Wanda Williamson of Okmulgee, wife, Shelley Jacobs of the home, a daughter, Megain Williamson of the home, two sons, Zachary Williamson and Brandon Williamson, both of the home, two brothers, Curtis Williamson and wife Belinda Wachoee of Hannah and LuLu Williamson and wife Amy Wilson of the home, and several nieces and nephews.
A wake service will begin at 7:00 P.M. Wednesday, May 12, 2004 at the Trenton Church in Hanna. A funeral service will follow on Thursday at 2:00 P.M. at the Church. Interment will be in the Proctor Family Cemetery under the direction of the McClendon-Winters Funeral Home of Okmulgee. Casketbearers will be Ray and Pahose Harjo, Melko Riley, Mitch Jack, Kelly Lowe, Brian Wacoche, Rodney Jones, David Leslie Billie, B.J. Jacobs, Archey Smith, and Darrell Proctor.
