Lucille Alice Wolfenbarger

Lucille Alice Wolfenbarger, 90, a resident of Vian, died Wednesday, December 15, 2004 at the Vian Nursing Home. She was born November 12, 1914 in Wewoka, Oklahoma to Claude and Mary Alice (Hooper) Franklin. She grew up in the Jenks and Bixby areas and attended Union Schools. She married Richard Wolfenbarger on June 4, 1932 in Tulsa. They moved around the country due to his job and made their home in Sand Springs in the late 1970ís. She spent her last years living in Vian. Lucille loved to cook, sew and quilt while collecting dolls and taking care of her kids. She was preceded in death by her parents, husband, son, Dennis, a grandson, Floyd Williamson II, three brothers, Archie, Willie, and Normal Franklin, and three sisters, Bertha Smith, Sophia __________, and Irene___________.

Survivors include two daughters, Carol Speer of Vian and Pam Foy of Beggs, six sons, Richard Wolfenbarger of Tulsa, Eugene Wolfenbarger of Tahlequah, David Wolfenbarger of Holbert, Jim Wolfenbarger and Lonnie Wolfenbarger, both of Claremore and Larry Wolfenbarger of Broken Arrow, a sister, Edith Whisenhunt of Sand Springs, 22 grandchildren, 38 great grandchildren and 5 great great grandchildren.

Friends may visit the funeral home on Monday, December 20, 2004 from 10:00 A.M. until 8:00 P.M. and on Tuesday until noon.

A graveside service will be held 2:00 P.M. Tuesday, December 21, 2004 at the Beggs Cemetery with Reverend Maurice Williams officiating. Casketbearers will be Alcardio Foy, Bill Speer, Richard Wolfenbarger, Eugene Wolfenbarger, David Wolfenbarger, Jim Wolfenbarger, Lonnie Wolfenbarger, and Larry Wolfenbarger. Arrangements are under the direction of the McClendon-Winters Funeral Home of Beggs.
