Kathleen Albig was born March 12, 1915 in Charleston, Arkansas to Edward E. Presser and Vivian Celeste (Burt) Presser. She passed away on Friday, October 19, 2007 at Okmulgee Memorial Hospital. She was married July 29, 1935 to Thurman E. Albig and they shared many happy years together. Although they had no children of their own they had many loving nieces and nephews. She is survived by her brothers, Robert Presser of Little Elm, Texas, Joseph Presser of Dumas, Texas, and William and Harrell Presser, both of Okmulgee, a sister-in-law, Rosemary Presser of Okmulgee, nieces, Mary Grimm of McAlister, Gayla Campbell of Highland Park Manor, and Beverly Pittman of Tulsa and other relatives around Oklahoma and Texas. Kathleen was a member of the First United Methodist Church and Veterans of Foreign Wars Ladies Auxiliary, and worked with her sister, Juanita, now deceased, during World War II at Douglas Aircraft to aide her soldier husband and four brothers, who were fighting overseas during the war. Committal services will be held 10:00 A.M. Tuesday, October 23, 2007 at the Okmulgee Cemetery with Reverend Craig Denslow officiating. Friends may visit the funeral home from 12-8 P.M. on Monday. Arrangements are under the direction of the McClendon-Winters Funeral Home of Okmulgee.
