Jim Orlando Arias

Jim Orlando Arias 54, died in Okmulgee on Tuesday, June 26, 2007.

He was born in Bogotá Colombia on June 12, 1953 to Rafael and Carlota (Gomez) Arias. He married Pat Fisher on December 22, 1973 in Hays, Kansas. Jim was a devoted husband, father, grandfather and friend. He was very involved with his family, especially his two sons and daughter. He loved to talk to you about their athletic accomplishments and their lives. Jim worked for Kelco Industries in Okmulgee and was a member of the the union, St. Anthony Catholic Church, the Knights of Columbus, and the Okmulgee County YMCA.

His parents and two brothers preceded him in death.

Surviving him is his wife Pat of the home, a daughter; Gina Arias of Okmulgee, two sons; Jimmy Arias and Michael Arias both of Okmulgee, two brothers; Ralph Arias of Clarksville, TN and Jairo Arias of Hays, KS, two sisters Elsa Pratt of New Orleans, LA and Sonia Arias of Bucaramanga Colombia, his grandchildren; Jacob, Mina and Isabella.

"The Jim Arias Memorial Fund" has been established at the 1st Family Federal Credit Union, 301 E. 8th. Okmulgee, OK 74447.

Rosary services will be held on Sunday at 7 PM at the McClendon-Winters Chapel. Funeral Mass will be on Monday at 2 PM at St. Anthony Catholic Church with Fr. Benjamin Vima celebrating. Burial will follow in the Okmulgee Cemetery. Pallbearers will be Jimmy Arias, Michael Arias, Jairo Arias, Ralph Arias, Paul Arias, Jordan Arias, Rob Pratt, and Paul Pratt.
