Glen Arnett

Glen Arthur Arnett, known by all who loved him as “Poppy”, died Sunday evening, December 14, 2008 at his home in Morris at the age of 85.  He was born April 21, 1923 in Tulsa, Oklahoma to Ona A. and Florence Agnes (Cots) Arnett.  Glen graduated from Webster High School in 1939 and served in the Merchant Marines.  He was a retired Tulsa Fire Department Firefighter and a member of the Pleasant Valley Church of Christ.  He was married to Faye Arnett who preceded him in death on December 6, 2003.  Glen was also preceded in death by his parents and two sisters, Margaret Stewart and Virginia Swanson.  Survivors include a sister, Dorothy Harrell and her husband D.J. of Stroud , a brother, Donald Arnett and wife Phyllis of Stigler, and very special friends, Susan and Mark Parker, Jarrod Parker, Jennifer Colwill, Jacob and Brooke Parker.  He was also survived by several nieces and nephews.

 

Services will be held 2:00 P.M. Thursday, December 18, 2008 at the McClendon-Winters Funeral Home Chapel with Minister Mark Parker officiating.
