Loyd Dean Ashlock Jr.

Loyd Dean Ashlock Jr., 23, a resident of Okmulgee, died Monday, September 26, 2005 at his home. He was born on November 27, 1981 in Okmulgee, Oklahoma to Loyd and Kelly (Claborn) Ashlock.

He attended Okmulgee Public Schools and participated in both football and baseball. He was employed by Mark Fisher as a tree trimmer at the time of his death. He enjoyed fishing and swimming.

He was preceded in death by his paternal grandparents, Homer and Ethel Ashlock and his maternal grandfather, James O. Claborn and one uncle, James A. Claborn.

Survivors include his mother and father of Okmulgee; one brother, Cody Lee Ashlock, and Lindsay Smith and one nephew Cody LeeAshlock Jr. of Okmulgee, three daughters Jordon Shay and Natalie Jo Burks of Morris, and Kaley Alyson Ashlock of Henryetta, his maternal grandmother, Glenda Cohea, and several aunts, uncles, cousins and many friends.

Funeral services will be on Friday, September 30, at 2:00 p.m. at the McClendon-Winters Funeral Home in Okmulgee. Rev. David Hamilton will officiate. Burial will be in the Dustin Cemetery in Dustin, Oklahoma under the direction of the McClendon-Winters Funeral Home in Okmulgee.

Visitation will be on Thursday, September 29, from 1:00 to 7:00 p.m. The family will be available at the funeral home between 6:00 7:00 p.m.

Casketbearers will be Drew Duellos, Isac Duclos, mark Fisher, Jeff Ledger, Dusty McCullar and Justin Miller, Honorary will be Nathan Froehlich and Nick Frochlich.
