James Marshall (Slugger) Bauman
James Marshall (Slugger) Bauman, 65, resident of Okmulgee, died Monday, September 4, 2006 at St. John Medical Center in Tulsa. He was born October 16, 1940 in New Kensington, PA to the late Francis E. and Margaret (Meyer) Bauman. He graduated from Okmulgee High School and was retired from Kelco. He was a member of St. Anthony Catholic Church and Okmulgee Elk’s Lodge. He is survived by two sisters, Margaret Christman and husband Dan of Rogers, Arkansas and Patricia Kennedy and husband Patrick of San Leandro, Cailfornia, an uncle, Martin Bauman of Niles, Ohio and several nieces and nephews. Mass of Christian burial will be 10:00 A.M., Thursday, September 7, 2006 at St. Anthony Catholic Church with Father Benjamin Vima officiating. Interment will follow in the Okmulgee Cemetery. The family will receive friends from 5-6 P.M. Wednesday evening at the funeral home. Memorial may be made to St. Anthony Catholic Church. Arrangements are under the direction of the McClendon-Winters Funeral Home of Okmulgee.
