Peggy Ann (Whiteley) Beam

Peggy Ann (Whiteley) Beam 71, a resident of Okmulgee, died in Tulsa on Tuesday, February 27, 2007. She was born in Muskogee, Oklahoma on December 17, 1935 to Earl and Elsie (Mullins)
Whiteley. Peggy graduated from Muskogee High School and married Richard Beam at Emmanuel Baptist Church in Muskogee. A big part of her life was being a Pastorís wife and traveling with him all over Oklahoma and Ft. Smith, Arkansas. She loved to cook, being "Nanny" to her grandchildren and playing the piano. She was a member of the Second Baptist Church in Okmulgee. Peggy retired from OSU-Okmulgee after 20 years as a financial aid employee. Her husband and parents preceded her in death.

Survivors include two sons; Steve and wife Sandy Beam of Okmulgee, Tim and wife Vickie Beam of Okmulgee and a daughter Cindy and husband Dan Morgan of Okmulgee, two brothers Howard Whiteley of Tulsa and Larry Whiteley of Broken Arrow, Oklahoma, thirteen grandchildren; Stevie Beam, Joni Habel, Heidi Richardson, Kristen Morgan, Danielle Morgan, Dane Beam, Andrew Beam, Dylan Beam, Tia Shelby, Blue Tarpalechee, Logan Daniels, Faith Daniels, Madison Daniels, and nine great grandchildren.

Funeral services will be on Saturday, March 3, 2007 at 2 p.m. at the Second Baptist Church with Tim Beam, her son, officiating. Burial will be in the Okmulgee Cemetery under the direction of the McClendon-Winters Funeral Home. Visitation will be on Thursday 12-8 P.M. and Friday from 9-8 P.M. at the funeral home.
