Barbara Ann (Williams)
Bell, lifelong Okmulgee resident, died Monday, June 15, 2009 in Broken Arrow.
She was 76 years of age.
Barbara was born December 31, 1932 in Okmulgee to Clifford and Henrietta Mary
(Hardin) Williams. She married
Charles “Duck” Bell, Jr. on August 21, 1947 in Okmulgee.
He preceded her in death on March 21, 2009.
Barbara had worked for International Tours and as the church secretary at
St. Anthony Catholic Church. She
was a Den Mother for the Boy Scouts and a very active member of St. Anthony
Catholic Church, being a member of the choir, Alter Society, Legion of Mary and
Catholic Daughters of America. She
was preceded in death by her parents, husband, a brother, Bill Williams and a
sister, Patsy Venable. Survivors
include her sons, Larry Gene Bell and wife Joan of Tahlequah, Randy Charles Bell
and wife Debbie of Okmulgee and Dwain Allen Bell and wife Karla of Tulsa, a
sister, Katie Kroll and husband Irvin of Tulsa, three sisters-in-law, Nola
Whitson of Okmulgee, Betty Otto and husband Dick of Checotah and Carol Nichols
and husband Carl of Okmulgee, four grandchildren, two great grandchildren and
numerous nieces and nephews. A
Rosary will be recited on Thursday evening at 7:00 P.M. at the McClendon-Winters
Funeral Home Chapel. A Mass of
Christian Burial will be held 10:00 A.M. Friday, June 19, 2009 at St. Anthony
Catholic Church with Father Benjamin Vima officiating.
Interment will follow in the Okmulgee Cemetery under the direction of the
McClendon-Winters Funeral Home of Okmulgee.
