Floyd Dwight Bell
82, died May 9, 2009 in Tulsa after a long illness.
He was born in Morris, Oklahoma to Charles and Margaret (Harvey) Bell.
Floyd was a veteran, serving in Japan during WWII and worked in pipeline
construction. His loves were his
family, hunting and fishing. His
parents, his first wife and mother of his sons Maryetta (Turley) Bell, and two
brothers Ralph Bell and Charles (Duck) Bell, Jr.
Survivors include
his wife Norma Bell of the home, two sons Don and Mary Ann Bell of Morris,
Oklahoma, Jeff and Kathy Bell of Ft. Gibson, six grandchildren, seven great
grandchildren, three sisters Nola Whitson of Okmulgee, Betty and Dick Otto,
Checotah, Oklahoma, Carol and Carl Nichols of Okmulgee, step sons Damon Brooks,
Donnie Brooks, Roy Payton and Randy Payton, two step daughters Krista Pickard
and Pam Smith, two sisters in law Betty Bell and Joyce Brown, Barbara Bell many
step grandchildren and many nieces, nephews and friends.
Funeral services
will be on Wednesday, 10 am at the First Baptist Church in Okmulgee.
Dr. Dennis Taylor will officiate. Visitation will be Tuesday, 1-8 pm.
Burial will be in the Okmulgee Cemetery under the direction of the
McClendon-Winters Funeral Home.
