Orvel Lloyd Bennett

Orvel Lloyd Bennett 79, longtime resident of Okmulgee died in Tulsa on Wednesday, June 18, 2003. Lloyd was born in Wetumka, Oklahoma on April 29, 1924 to Walter and Anna Mae (Murphy) Bennett. He was a veteran of the U.S. Navy. Lloyd was a member of the Masons, V.F.W., the Elks Lodge and retired from OSU-Okmulgee after working 33yrs. He was Supervisor of the Dry Cleaning Department. His parents, and a sister Nadine Bennett Frevert preceded him in death.

Survivors include his wife Christina Bennett of the home in Okmulgee, two sons Mark and wife Jodi Bennett, and David Bennett of Tulsa, one sister Imojean and husband Gene Rauschenbach of Canton, Ohio, one brother Lindell and wife Linda Bennett of Cabot, Arkansas, a step-son Roger and wife Becky Tomlinson of Corinth, Texas, a step-daughter Sharlet Epperson of Broken Arrow, Oklahoma, five step-grandchildren, nieces, nephews and other relatives.

Funeral services will be on Friday, June 20, 2003 at 2 pm at the McClendon-Winters Funeral Home. Rev. Wesley Bennett will officiate. Burial will follow in the Wetumka Cemetery.
