Lawrence Breckenridge, Sr.

Lawrence Lesley Breckenridge Sr. 82, resident of Bristow, OK died on Wednesday, December 24, 2008 at his residence. He was born in Hennessey, Oklahoma on October 17, 1926 to Oren Eugene and Stella (King) Breckenridge. He worked as a heavy equipment operator before his retirement. Preceding him in death were his parents, fourteen brothers and sisters, and his wife Mae Ellis (Ruff) Breckenridge. He enjoyed hunting, fishing and rodeos. Lawrence was a member of the Bethel 128 and the Buffalo Club.

Survivors include daughter; Sylvia Irene Gardner of Houston, TX, daughter; Stella Marie Breckenridge of Los Angeles, CA, son; Lawrence Breckenridge Jr. of Bristow, OK , daughter; Sheryl Kathleen Hart of Lawrence, KS son; Ercell Rogene Breckenridge of Hawaii, brothers; Lois Breckenridge, Lorenzo Breckenridge, Lloyde Breckenridge, Lincoln Breckenridge, Lilbon Breckenridge, sister; Florence Breckenridge brother; Larry Breckenridge and sister; Diane Breckenridge, 18 grandchildren and 20 great grandchildren.

Funeral services will be at 10 am, Friday, at the First Assembly of God Church in Beggs, with Elder Leslie B. Davidson officiating. Burial will follow the service at the Tuskegee Cemetery. Visitation will be at the McClendon-Winters Funeral Home in Beggs, OK on Thursday 12-8 pm with the family being present 6-7 pm. Condolences may be sent at mcclendon-winters.com.
