Shannan Brewer

Shannon Elizabeth Brewer of Okmulgee died October 24, 2007 in Tulsa at the age of 39. Shannon was born August 5, 1968 to Rosalee Diann (Young) and Therin E. Menie in Alton, Illinois. She attended Sanford-Brown Business School and Lewis and Clark Community College, where she received her degree in Dental Hygiene. She was licensed in Oklahoma and Missouri. Shannon was a member of the Dental Hygiene Association of Oklahoma, St. Anthony Catholic Church and was currently serving as Secretary of the VFW Auxiliary Post 1189. She is survived by her parents, two daughters; Diann N. Brewer and Keysha G. Brewer, one son; Thomas Vincent Brewer, Jr. who is in the National Guard at Ft. Bliss, Texas, two grandchildren; Alexis Elizabeth Brewer and Abreanna Rose Brewer, one brother; Brian Peters of Texas, and her lifelong best friend, Carla Ryals. Shannon was preceded in death by her grandparents.

A Mass of Christian Burial will be held 10:00 A.M. Saturday, October 27, 2007 at the Uganda Martyrs Catholic Church with Father Benjamin Vima officiating. Interment will follow in the Morris Cemetery. Pallbearers will be Tommy Brewer, John Hoskison, Jimmy Foust, James Allred, Derek Dunn and Mike Ryals. Friends may visit the funeral home from 9-8 P.M. on Friday. Arrangements are under the direction of the McClendon-Winters Funeral Home of Okmulgee.
