Norita Brose

          Norita Lavern (St. Cyr) Brose was born on November 4, 1924 to Eugene and Minnie (Denton) St. Cyr.  She departed this life on January 5, 2009 in Sulphur, Oklahoma.  She lived most of her life in Beggs.  She attended Beggs First Assembly of God Church for many years.

          Norita was preceded in death by her husband of 36 years, J.B. Brose in 1979, her twin sister, Juanita Pless of Modesto, California, three brothers; Dean St. Cyr of Lancaster, California, Charles St. Cyr of Sedalia, Missouri, and J.T. St. Cyr of Massachusetts, and her parents; Eugene and Minnie St. Cyr of Sapulpa, Oklahoma.

          She is survived by one son, Jerry Brose of Savannah, Georgia, one daughter, Sandra Swearingen and husband Frank of Sulphur, Oklahoma, a brother, Donald St. Cyr and wife Ginette of Moore, Oklahoma, two sisters; Pat Dean of Sapulpa, Oklahoma and Marguerita Rouse of Valparaiso, Indiana, eight grandchildren, twelve great grandchildren, two great-great grandchildren, a host of nieces and nephews, and many special friends.

          Services will be on Friday, January 9, 2009 at 2:00 P.M. at the First Assembly of God Church in Beggs.  Reverend Robert Yandell and Reverend Bill Storie will be officiating.  Viewing will be on Friday morning from 10:00 until 12:00 noon at the McClendon-Winters Funeral Home in Beggs.  There will be no interment.  Arrangements are under the direction of McClendon-Winters Funeral Home and online condolences may be made at
