Henry Euin Brown
Henry Euin Brown, longtime Okmulgee resident, died Tuesday morning, March 30, 2004 at his home in Okmulgee. He was 92 years of age. Mr. Brown was born April 27, 1911 in Ft. Smith, Arkansas to Charlie and Samantha (Thrasher) Brown. At the age of 14, he moved to Okmulgee with his family. He married Katie Ellen Gartrell on September 12, 1930 at the Nuyaka Indian Mission. He loved to sing and minister. Mr. Brown was a mechanic and retired from MeGown Chevrolet. He was preceded in death by his parents, wife, and a son, Franklin Richard Lee Brown. He is survived by his daughters, Georgia Miller of Okmulgee and Kathryn Switch of Seminole and several grand children, great grand children and great great grandchildren. A funeral service will be held 10:00 A.M. Friday, April 2, 2004 at the McClendon-Winters Funeral Home Chapel with Reverend Leslie Love officiating. Interment will follow in the Okmulgee Cemetery under the direction of the McClendon-Winters Funeral Home of Okmulgee. Viewing will be Thursday from 12:00 Noon until 8:00 P.M.
