Wadrick Patrick Burkhalter

Wadrick Patrick Burkhalter, 87, a longtime resident of Okmulgee died on Saturday, January 22, 2005 in Talihina, Oklahoma. He was born in Arbeka, Oklahoma on October 18, 1917 to Jerry and Cary (Ligons) Burkhalter. He was a veteran on the U.S. Army and had served in the Northern Solomonís and New Guinea during W.W. II. He married Rosalind Peyton on October 18, 1947. Mr. Burkhalter had retired from Ball Brothers Corporation. He was a member of Uganda Martyrs Catholic Church, the American Legion and the VFW and the Knights of Columbus. His parents and eight brothers and sisters preceded him in death.

Survivors include his wife; Rosalind (Rosie) Peyton Burkhalter of the home, one Stepson; James L. Dean of Okmulgee, one sister; Curlee Burkhalter of Oklahoma City, nieces, nephews and other relatives.

Rosary service will be held at the McClendon-Winters Funeral Home Chapel on Thursday, January 27, 2005 at 7 pm. Funeral Mass of the Resurrection will be on Friday at 11 am at Uganda Martyrs Catholic Church with Rev. Benjamin Vima as celebrant. Burial will be in the Okmulgee Cemetery. Visitation will be on Thursday from 11 until 8 pm at the McClendon-Winters Funeral Home in Okmulgee.
