William Howard Burtchett

William Howard Burtchett 79, a resident of Okemah, OK, died in Okemah on August 16, 2007. He was born in Hickman, Kentucky on April 20, 1928 to William Jefferson and Pearl (Wallace) Burtchett. Mr. Burtchett was a veteran of the U.S. Army. He was married to Ann Mae Ledbetter. Bill worked as a heavy equipment operator until his retirement. His parents, three brothers and one sister preceded him in death.

Survivors include his wife Anna Mae Burtchett of the home, two sons; Bill and wife Debbie Burtchett, Mike and wife Mary Burtchett all of Drumright, OK, four daughters; Martha and husband Jerry McKee of Morris, Debbie and husband Gaylen Spence of Texas, Kathy Putman of Okemah, OK and Lisa and husband Randy Mullen of Muskogee, OK, fourteen grandchildren and fourteen great grandchildren.

Funeral services will be on Monday, August 20, 2007 at 10:00 AM at the McClendon-Winters Funeral Home in Okmulgee with Rev. Mike Howard officiating. Burial will be in the Morris Cemetery. Military rites will be given by V.F.W. Posts 1189 and 539. Visitation will be Sunday, 1 until 8 pm at the McClendon-Winters Funeral Home. Condolences may be made at mcclendon-winters.com
