Matthias Scott Cantu

Matthias Scott Cantu, son of Meressa Ann Cantu of Okmulgee and Chester Franklin Bear of Ada was born December 29, 2004 in Okmulgee. He passed away on September 7, 2007 in Okmulgee. Survivors include his parents, brother, Elijah Cantu of the home, maternal grandparents, Frank and Wyiquita Bear of Okmulgee and Miguel and Mary Jane Cantu of Ochopee, Florida, paternal grandmother, Sandra Miller of Ada, maternal great grandparents, Eddie and Gretchen Lindsey of Oklahoma City, paternal great grandparents, Clifford and Birdie Bear of Okemah, maternal great great grandmother, Tochee Wind of Weleetka, uncles, Michael Cantu of Miami, Florida, David Bear of Oklahoma City and Miguel Cantu, Jr. of Ochopee, Florida, aunts Katrina Beaver of Okmulgee, Alicia Cantu of Miami, Florida, Mary Pauline Cantu of Ochopee, Florida and Dianna Rose Cantu of Ochopee, Florida.

A wake service will be held 6:30 P.M. Monday evening at the McClendon-Winters Funeral Home Chapel. Funeral service will be at 1:30 P.M. on Tuesday, September 11, 2007 at the Little Quarsity Indian Baptist Church in Cromwell with his great grandfather, Reverend Eddie Lindsey officiating. Interment will follow in the Lindsey Family Cemetery. Casketbearers will be Michael Cantu, David Bear, Miguel Cantu, Jr., Jeremy Monahwee and Joshua Herbert.
