Rachel Ruth Carlile of Mounds, OK passed away September 21, 2004 at her home at the age 77. She was born at home in McIntosh County, OK on February 23, 1927 to Ora Bell (Harris) Brison and Thomas Truly Brown. She grew up in Dustin, OK and later moved to Mounds, OK were she resided with her daughter.

She left behind many loved ones. These survivors include six daughters and five son in laws: Claudia and James Sanders of Okemah, OK, Laverne and Pete Smith of Tulsa, OK Linda Berryhill of Morris, OK, Diane Martin and William McGee of Mounds, OK, Lolonda and Ryan Haynes of Okmulgee, OK, and Peggy Marcantel of Tulsa, OK, two brothers and sister in laws, Albert and Ester Brown of Henryetta, OK, Thomas and Violet Brown of Henryetta, OK, Rahcel also left behind twenty-two grandchildren, thirty-six Great grandchildren and six great-great grandchildren and many nieces and nephews and friends.

She was preceded in death by her parents, Ora Bell (Harris) Brison and Thomas Truly Brown, her two sisters Jene Morgan and Alma Marshall, two daughters, Jan Bates and Lois Smith, three grandchildren and one great grandchild.

Funeral Services will be held 10:30 AM Friday, September 24, 2004 at the McClendon-Winters Funeral Home Chapel in Okmulgee with Reverend Donald Martin officiating. Interment will follow in the Okmulgee Cemetery under the direction of the McClendon-Winters Funeral Home in Okmulgee.

Viewing will be from 10:00 am until 8:00 PM at the McClendon-Winters Funeral Home Chapel in Okmulgee.

Casketbearers will be Junior Eldenburg, Mike Mintz, Joe Berryhill, Robert Berryhill, David Magnusson and Tony Sugar.
