Gordon Choate

Gordon Choate 79, a resident of Okmulgee since a child, died in Okmulgee on Thursday, September 8, 2005. He was born on July 15, 2005 in Eula, Arkansas to Hugh and Ocie (Albritton) Choate. Gordon was married to Hazel Pauline (Brooks) Breedlove for 47 years. He worked as a truck driver before his retirement. Gordon served in the U.S. Navy. His parents and a sister Bernice Baldwin preceded him in death.

Survivors include his wife Hazel Choate of the home, two daughters Susan Breedlove of Broken Arrow and Sharon and husband Jim Tomaney of Oklahoma City, a son John Thomas Breedlove of Okmulgee, one brother Bob Hayes of Owasso and one grand daughter Sarah Pettet and husband Thomas of Oklahoma City.

Funeral services will be on Tuesday, September 13, 2005 at 2 pm at the McClendon-Winters Funeral Home with visitation being on Monday, 10-8 p,. Burial will be in the Okmulgee Cemetery under the direction of the McClendon-Winters Funeral Home of Okmulgee. Condolences may be sent to the family at mcclendon-winters@mcclendon-winters.com.
