Mary Sue Claborn

Mary Sue Claborn, 86, a resident of Okmulgee, died Wednesday, March 9, 2005 at Okmulgee Memorial Hospital. She was born on March 19, 1918 in Russellville Ark. To Alvin and Arebelle "Belle" (Park) Ross. She married Lonnie Claborn in Dustin, OK in 1932. She loved to do quilt tops and work in her flowerbed. She was a member of the home demonstration club in Graham. Mrs. Claborn was a homemaker that did ironing for many people in Okmulgee.

She was preceded in death by her parents Alvin and "Belle" Ross her husband Lonnie Claborn on December 3, 1987 a son Orville Claborn and two grandsons David Collins and Jimmy Claborn, and brothers and sisters Mayme Ross, Virgil Ross, Raymond Ross, Jesse Ross and Estie Ross.

Survivors include two sons, Gene Claborn of Okmulgee and Rick Claborn of Vinita and one daughter Margaret Lewis of Oxford, MS, one sister Lucille Custer of Verdigris NB, nine grandchildren, fifteen great grandchildren and nine great great grandchildren.

Funeral services will be on Saturday, March 12, 2005 at 2 pm at the Town & Country Christian Church in Okmulgee. Hershel Martin will officiate. Burial will be in the Dustin Cemetery in Dustin, Oklahoma under the direction of the McClendon-Winters Funeral Home in Okmulgee. Visitation will be on Friday 12 until 8 pm. The family will be available at the funeral home 6-8 pm
