Ona G. Cooksey

Ona G. Cooksey, 89, formerly of the Beggs area passed away at Evergreen Mountain View Care Center on December 13, 2003. She was born August 24, 1914 in Waco, TX to Roland B. and Jennie (Simmons) Cooksey. She had been a resident of Carson City, Nevada for two years. She retired with the Oklahoma Public Employees Retirement System, and worked for a county commissioner issuing commodities. During World War II she worked on instruments for the Air Force at Tinker Air Force Base in Oklahoma City. She was past Grand Noble of the Rebekahs Lodge in Mounds, OK and a member of the First Baptist Church.

She is survived by a sister Thelma Angelo, a brother and sister in law Allen and Jean Cooksey of Carson City, NV. Survivors also include six nephews, one niece, four great nephews and six great nieces.
