Louie Crenshaw, Twin Hills
resident, died Monday, June 22, 2009 in Tulsa at the age of 92.
He was born in Okmulgee County on October 29, 1916 to Chris and Lydia
(Moffett) Crenshaw. He worked in
the Civil Service doing construction work after World War II and later was a
farmer and pumper. Louie was a bus
driver for Twin Hills School for many years and also served on the Twin Hill
School Board. He married Nettie
Marie Grimmett on January 16, 1947.
He enjoyed carpentry and going dancing with Nettie.
Preceding Louie in death were his parents, first wife, Mary (McGlasson)
Crenshaw, wife, Nettie Crenshaw, infant son, Charles Crenshaw, two
daughters-in-law, Linda and Ruth Crenshaw, son-in-law, Ken Nissen, brother, Ben
Crenshaw and a sister, Hattie Oxford.
Survivors include a daughter, Patricia Nissen of Twin Hills, three sons,
Jack Crenshaw and wife Debbie of Morris, David Crenshaw and wife Yvonne of
Newcastle and Gary Crenshaw of Twin Hills, eleven grandchildren, twenty nine
great grandchildren and six great great grandchildren.
Funeral services will be held 2:00 P.M. Thursday, June 25, 2009 at the
Twin Hills Gymnasium with Mr. Jim Waller and Mr. Bob Pinkston officiating.
Interment will follow in the Haskell Cemetery.
Casketbearers will be Larry Crenshaw, Ricky Crenshaw, John David
Crenshaw, John Alan Crenshaw, Jackie Duane Crenshaw, Christopher Porter, Jimmy
Crenshaw and Nathan Porter. Friends
may visit the funeral home from 12-8 P.M. Wednesday and 8:30-11:30 on Thursday.
In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions may be made to the Twin Hill
School in Louie’s Memory.
