Mary Jane Davidson

Mary Jane Davidson, a resident of Kiefer, died Monday morning, February 14, 2005 at St. Francis Hospital in Tulsa. She was 82 years of age. Mrs. Davidson was born April 26, 1922 in Boswell, Oklahoma to Thomas and Emma (Frazier) Phillips. She married James Henry Davidson on November 22, 1944 in Durant. She was a homemaker, enjoyed crocheting and cooking, and was of the Presbyterian Faith. Preceding her in death was her parents, a brother, Joe Phillips and two sisters, Ruth Roberson and Kathryn Clark. Survivors include her husband of 60 years, James H. Davidson, of the home, two sons, Charles Davidson of Beggs and Jackie Davidson of Krebs, two daughters, Mary Garrison of Glenpool and Bonnie Rupe of Skiatook, 14 grandchildren and 36 great grandchildren. A funeral service will be held 2:00 P.M. Wednesday, February 16, 2005 at the First Assembly of God Church in Beggs with Reverend R.L. Parnell officiating. Interment will follow in the Beggs Cemetery. Casketbearers will be John Rupe, Jr., Jack Davidson, Justin Garrison, Scott Easley, Aaron Weaver, and Brad Creech. Friends may visit from 12-8 P.M. Tuesday evening, and the family will receive friends from 6-7 P.M. at the funeral home. Arrangements are under the direction of the McClendon-Winters Funeral Home of Beggs.
