James L. "Jug" Davis, longtime Beggs area resident, died Monday, January 8, 2007. He was born April 15, 1936 in Carter, Oklahoma to H.C. and Lenora (Kersey) Davis. He served in the United States Army and retired in 2001 as a pipeline inspector. He was married to Neita J. (Lamb) Davis in Beggs on February 28, 1985. She survives of the home. No Services are planned. Arrangements are under the direction of the McClendon-Winters Funeral Home of Okmulgee.
