Helen Maxine (Mainard) Denham

Helen Maxine (Mainard) Denham, of Henryetta, died Saturday, March 26, 2005 at St. Francis Hospital in Tulsa. She was 80 years and 20 days of age. Mrs. Denham was born March 6, 1925 in Pryor, Oklahoma to John Thomas and Minnie Loucinda (Taylor) Mainard. She graduated from Glenpool High School and married Jimmie Lee Denham on September 25, 1944 in Sapulpa. She lived most of life in the Glenpool and Beggs area. She was a homemaker and member of the First Baptist Church of Glenpool. She was preceded in death by her parents, husband, a son, Keith Edward Denham, a brother, Orval Mainard, and a great granddaughter, Emily. Survivors include two children, Peggy Longan and Reta Weaver and husband Bobby, all of Henryetta , two sisters, Effie Fields and Marie Montgomery, both of Glenpool, a brother, Alfred Mainard of Decatur, Texas, four grandchildren, twelve grandchildren and many other loved ones and friends. Helen was loved and admired by many and will be greatly missed.

Friends may visit the funeral home from 12-8 PM Tuesday and the family will receive friends from 6-8 PM Tuesday evening at the funeral home chapel.

A funeral service will be held 2:00 P.M. Wednesday, March 30, 2005 at the First Baptist Church of Glenpool with Reverend David Hamilton. Interment will follow in the Duck Creek Cemetery. Casketbearers will be A.B. Mainard, Mike Fields, Darrell Fields, Jimmie Montgomery, J.T. Mainard, and Johnny Montgomery. Arrangements are under the direction of the McClendon-Winters Funeral Home of Okmulgee.
