Sylvia M. Duncan

Sylvia M. Duncan 80, longtime resident of Okmulgee County died at her home on Sunday, November 11, 2007. She was born in Heavner, Oklahoma to David and Ethel (Grissley) Clark on May 3, 1927. Her parents preceded her in death. Sylvia enjoyed bowling, fishing cooking sewing and working in her yard and garden.

Survivors include her husband Linley Carl Duncan of the home, four daughters; Jean and husband Ray Pickle of Okmulgee, Leona and husband Bill Kennedy of Okmulgee, Earline and husband Jack Pope of Okmulgee, Joyce and husband Floyd Henry of Central, Louisiana and one son Bobby and wife Annie Williams of Richland, Washington, two sisters; Faye Rogers of Tipton, Oklahoma and Billie Perry of Okmulgee, eleven grandchildren, fifteen great grandchildren and two great great grandchildren.

Funeral services will be on Tuesday, November 13, 2007 at the Faith Baptist Church in Okmulgee at 2:00 PM with Rev. Dennis Elder and Rev. Everett Lerch officiating. Burial will be in the Okmulgee Cemetery under the direction of the McClendon-Winters Funeral Home. Condolences may be made at mcclendon-winters.com.
