Ava Fisher, lifelong resident of Morris, died Sunday, February 27, 2005 at Southcrest Hospital in Tulsa. She was 76 years of age. She was born August 12, 1928 to Gus and Flora (Bowen) McDaniel at Keifton, Oklahoma. Mrs. Fisher was a homemaker and enjoyed fishing. She was preceded in death by her parents and her husband of 46 years, W.W. (Durb) Fisher. Survivors include her brother, J.C. McDaniel and wife Aileen of Las Vegas, Nevada, sister-in-laws, Nola McDaniel, Juanita McDaniel and Juanita Fisher, all of Haskell and Mae Stafford of Morris, and a host of nieces and nephews.
Friends may visit the funeral home from noon to 8:00 P.M. on Tuesday.
A funeral service will be held 10:00 A.M. Wednesday, March 2, 2005 at the First Assembly of God Church in Morris with Reverend C.R. Franklin officiating. Interment will follow in the Fisher Cemetery. Nephews will serve as casketbearers. Arrangements are under the direction of the McClendon-Winters Funeral Home of Okmulgee.
