Pinkston French Ruby Pinkston French, 86, longtime
resident of Okmulgee, died in Tulsa on Monday, May 14, 2007.
She was born on February 7, 1921 in Strong City, Oklahoma to
Floyd Estelle and Mary Elsie (Duke) Bledsoe. She had been
employed as a cook for a nursing home and was a homemaker.
She taught Sunday School at the Natura and Preston Baptist
Churches. Ruby was a member of the V.F.W. Post 1189
Auxiliary. Her parents, husband Ray Pinkston, daughter Carol
Stabb, son Tommy Pinkston, brother Lawrence Bledsoe and
sister Norman Carter preceded her in death. Survivors include her husband Jack French
of the home, children; Jad and wife Carol Morgan of
Okmulgee, Judy and husband Jim Williams of Bartlesville,
Peggy and husband Anthony Monahee of Muskogee, Jasper Don
and wife Virginia French of Frisco, TX, Sammy and wife Donna
French of Carlsbad, NM, Jackie Lynn French of Portland, OR,
Linda and husband Jerry Strange of Longview, WA, Debbie and
husband Jim Reedy of Carlsbad, NM, Tommy Dean and wife
Joetta French of Yocalt, WA, two sisters; Floy Hartman of
Tulsa and Joyce Witte of Houston, TX, twenty-nine
grandchildren and numerous great and great great
grandchildren and other relatives. Funeral services will be on Thursday, May
17, 2007 at 2 pm at the McClendon-Winters Chapel with Jim
Waller officiating. Burial will be in the Okmulgee Cemetery.
Visitation will be on Wednesday 11 am until 8 pm.
