Edward Jay Fulton
Edward Jay Fulton, Okmulgee, passed away
Thursday morning, January 10, 2008 at his home. He was 68
years of age. Ed was born February 4, 1939 in Peoria,
Illinois to John and Maxine (Farrell) Fulton. He served in
the United States Army and was a member of the American
Legion. Ed graduated from Peoria-Manual High School and
Bradley University. He married Marian Ruth Jass on January
28, 1961 in Peoria, Illinois. They moved to Okmulgee in 1992
from Streeter, Illinois. Ed was a member of the Okmulgee
Elks Lodge and the Henryetta Rotary Club. He was preceded in
death by his father, wife, and step-father, Harold McNamara.
Survivors include his mother, Maxine McNamara of
Celebration, Florida, two sons, Mark Fulton and wife Christy
of Galloway, Ohio and Steven Fulton and wife Beth of Tulsa,
five grandchildren, Trevor, Emily, Connor, Elijah and
Kenneth, two step-grandchildren, Alicia and Aliyah and two
brothers, Rich Fulton and wife Karen of Missouri and Harold
McNamara and wife JoAnn of Orlando, Florida. Funeral
services will be held 11:00 A.M. Wednesday, January 16, 2008
at the McClendon-Winters Funeral Home Chapel with Reverend
Myles Schultz officiating. The family will receive friends
from 6-8 P.M. on Tuesday evening. Memorial contributions may
be made to the American Cancer Society or Camp Arcadia in
care of the funeral home. Arrangements are under the
direction of the McClendon-Winters Funeral Home of Okmulgee.
