"Dignity without Compromise"
John Fulton, longtime resident of Beggs, died Thursday morning, June 16, 2005 at Highland Park Nursing Home. He was 82 years of age. Mr. Fulton was born January 20, 1923 in Ft. Gibson to Jake and Rosa (Baker) Fulton. He married Dollie May Williams on December 16, 1947. He was retired from Okmulgee County where he had worked many years as a road grader operator. Preceding him in death are his parents, wife, a grandchild, a brother, Morgan Fulton and a sister, Minnie Cypert.
Survivors include two daughters, Mary Bloom and husband Terry of Beggs and Betty Wilson and husband Bill of Tucson, Arizona, four brothers, Emmett and Andrew Fulton, both of Beggs and Ernest and Sammy Fulton, both of Mannford, three grandchildren and five great grandchildren.
A graveside service will be held 2:00 P.M. Monday, June 20, 2005 at the Beggs Cemetery with Reverend Bill Storie officiating. Interment will follow in the Beggs Cemetery under the direction of the McClendon-Winters Funeral Home of Beggs. Visitation will be Sunday 1-5 P.M. and Monday until 1:00 P.M.
