McCLENDON-WINTERS FUNERAL HOME "Dignity without Compromise"
Mr. Willie Furch Mr. Willie Furch, longtime Beggs resident, died Tuesday morning, July 13, 2004 in Henryetta at the age of 98. He was born in Grayson Co., Texas on February 11, 1906 to Willie and Dolly (Jackson) Furch. He moved to Beggs in 1927 where he met Hattie Marie Mason. They were united in marriage on November 29, 1929. She passed away June 5, 1981. He served as a faithful father to five children. Willie accepted Christ at a young age in Sherman, Texas and had been a member at Handy Chapel A.M.E. Church for many years. He worked in the Tulsa area for over forty years in construction while maintaining a farm in Beggs. He was preceded in death by his parents, wife, two sons, Clarence and John, two brothers and six sisters. Survivors include his children, Clara Whittaker of Beggs, Randolph Furch and wife Willa V. of St. Louis, Missouri and James Furch and wife Sondra of Tulsa, a sister, Annie Roxie McNeal of Oakland, California, a brother, Johnny Furch of Bristow, eleven grandchildren, ten great grandchildren and a host of nieces, nephews, cousins and other relatives. A funeral service will be held 2:00 P.M. Saturday, July 17, 2004 at the Handy Chapel A.M.E. Church in Beggs with Pastor Linda Adams officiating. Interment will follow in the New Post Oak Cemetery. Casketbearers will be Rufus Furch, William R. Furch, Reginald W. Furch, Sam Tucker, Eric Tucker, and Bradley Tucker. Arrangements are under the direction of the McClendon-Winters Funeral Home of Beggs.
