Sharon "Kay" Furr, 64, died in Tulsa on July 16, 2008 after a
short illness. She was born to Odis (Bill) and Helen (French) Furr on March 29,
1944 in Henryetta, Oklahoma. She was known as "Auntie Kay" to everyone and was
retired from Southwestern Bell.
Kay was preceded in death by her father in 1981.
She is survived by her mother, Helen, three sisters; Sue
Haynes of Okmulgee, Judy Corpier and husband Tommy of Hartville, Missouri, Mary
Jane Buck and husband Steven of Tulsa, Oklahoma, nieces and nephews; Gaye Lynn
Jordan, Bud Haynes, Louis Corpier, Tammy Hughes, Terry Corpier, Rusty Buck,
Katie Buck, and a multitude of grand nieces, nephews and friends.
Services will be on Saturday, July 19, 2008 at 10:00 A.M. at
the McClendon-Winters Funeral Home Chapel with Reverend Dr. Thomas D. Schwartz
officiating. Casketbearers will be Louis Corpier, Terry Corpier, David Reynolds,
Rusty Buck, Ryan Haynes, and Bud Haynes. Honorary casketbearer will be Tommy
Corpier and Steven Buck. Viewing will be on Friday from 12:00 noon to 8:00 P.M.
Services are under the direction of McClendon-Winters Funeral Home of Okmulgee.
