Elroy Fyffe, 82, died on June
28, 2008. Elroy was born on October 22, 1925 in Chickasaw, Oklahoma to
E. H. and Anna B. (White) Fyffe. He joined the Navy at a young age and
retired from Southwestern Bell Telephone Company after thirty-two years
and four months of employment. He loved doing wood work, crossword
puzzles and watching "shoot’m up" western movies.
Elroy was preceded in death by his parents, his
children’s mother, Dorothy Fyffe, a sister, Jane Davis, twin brother,
Elray, brothers, Archie, Wallace, and Jack.
He is survived by his wife, Letha Mae (Choate), two
daughters; Holly Ann Fyffe and Jeanette Mckeever, son; Brett Fyffe, one
granddaughter, Bernadette, one sister, Patricia Fyffe, and one brother,
Bill Fyffe and his wife Denna-Fo. Elroy had many nieces and nephews, and
friends.
A memorial service will be held on Wednesday, July 2,
2008 at 2:30 P.M. at the Four Square Gospel Church. Pastor Jim Birch
will officiate. Services are under the direction of McClendon-Winters
