Billy V.T. Goins

Billy V.T. Goins, 81, of Grove, passed away on Monday, November 28, 2005 at the Grove General Hospital. Mr. Goins was born on August 14, 1924 in Fairland, OK to Jess and Ruby (Chapel) Goins. He later married Patricia (Daniels) Gandy on August 12, 1972. Bill worked as a Pipeliner and a local businessman in the Fairland Area. He formerly was the mayor of Fairland and also served on the City Council. He was a Veteran of the United States Navy during World War II. When he was enlisted he worked as a fireman. Bill was a member of the First Assembly of God in Grove.

Survivors include his wife Patricia Goins of the home, a son Billy Wade and his wife Tracy Goins there children Jade and Carson all of Grove. Step-daughters Kathy and her husband David Brown of Miami, Diana and her husband Kenny Marshall of Fairland, Debra and her husband Jack Shumaker of Miami, a step-son Danny and his wife Petee Gandy of Grove, brothers J.R. Goins of Fairland, Sam Goins, of Fairland, a sister Virginia Bain of Joplin, other survivors include nine grandchildren and five great grandchildren.

Those that preceded him in death are his parents Jess and Ruby Goins and two Brothers James Goins and Sherman Goins.
